aka, Braden Davis, is a 25 year old multi-genre solo artist and musician from Spokane, Washington, known for blending introspective songwriting with infectious genre-defying production. With captivating rhymes, raw emotion, and lyrics that reflect both self-awareness and bold vulnerability, Braden is carving out his own lane in the alternative hip-hop, R&B, rock, and indie-pop space.
At the core of his artistry is an unapologetic commitment to making the music he genuinely wants to make. Braden refuses to be boxed in by genre labels or expectations. Instead, he draws from the full spectrum of his musical influences from hip-hop and R&B, to rock, pop, and everything in between to create something entirely his own. Each project stands as a sonic snapshot of where he’s at emotionally, creatively, and personally. Whether he’s singing over dark, bass-heavy beats or dreamy guitar chords, the throughline is always honesty and a sense of intention.
Consistently working on music, Braden recently released his newest single “It’s All So Much”, a genre-blurring alt-R&B/indie pop track that he produced, mixed, and mastered himself. The song captures the overwhelming nature of modern life through its hypnotic production and haunting melodies, showcasing his ability to turn mental clutter into sonic clarity. It stands as one of his most personal and polished releases to date, reflecting both his emotional depth and technical skill as a fully independent artist.
His previous releases each show different sides of his creative range. “Night Shift” is a sleek, mellow track that leans into his R&B influences while staying grounded with hip-hop rhythm. “THE DRIVE” is a punk rock inspired adrenaline shot, fast, chaotic, and full of energy. “Mesmerized” brings a pop forward groove into the mix, a love song with a bounce that pulls listeners to the dance floor. These tracks are more than just genre exercises, they’re proof of Braden’s ability to write and perform across multiple styles while maintaining a cohesive voice and vision.
Live performance is also a big part of Braden’s story. Backed by his guitarist Bryson Coalt and drummer Jeremy Pilalas, Braden brings energy and authenticity to the stage, with sets that move between pure high-octane energy to emotionally sincere grounded moments. Braden’s shows are more than a performance, they’re an experience, offering fans an unfiltered look into the emotion behind the music.
The beginning…
Braden’s musical journey didn’t start on a big stage, it started in his bedroom. At age 15, he began creating alternative and rock music on his own, experimenting with songwriting, recording, and the raw feeling of self-expression through sound. In 2016, he formed a band called Fell From The Ship with his close friends Sage McKinney and Aidan Bell. Together, they recorded an album and played consistently around the local scene until the group eventually disbanded in 2019.
Following a brief break, Braden returned to making music with a renewed sense of direction and independence. He began writing and producing as a solo artist, determined to create on his own terms. His debut EP, “Absent Minded”, released on April 30th, 2021, is a blend of alt-rock textures and hip-hop cadences, a bold first statement as a solo artist. Later that same year, he followed it up with “Did You Hear About The” a second EP released on October 8th, 2021, that dove deeper into his lyrical introspection and stylistic experimentation.
In 2022, Braden teamed up with longtime friend and guitarist Bryson Coalt to collaborate on a full-length project. After spending a year writing, creating, and recording together, the two released their joint album, “Absolute Nonsense”, on November 25th, 2022, an energetic, genre-jumping collection that captured both artists unique personalities and creative chemistry.
More recently, Braden began working closely with producer, audio engineer, and writer Chef Sherm, expanding his sound and refining the production behind his music. That collaboration led to “Something NEW! EP, Vol. 1”, a 6-track project that blends pop, hip-hop, R&B, and even a hint of dance music. Released on April 5th, 2024, it marks a new creative chapter defined by growth, cohesion, and momentum. The second volume, “Something NEW! EP, Vol. 2”, released on August 23th, 2024, showing an even more developed take on Braden’s evolving sound with a solid split mixture of rock and hip-hop influences tracks.
Through every phase of his journey, Braden has stayed rooted in the same core principle, make the music that feels right. That creative freedom, paired with his tireless work ethic and genre-fluid style, sets him apart from the pack. He’s not chasing trends, he’s creating music that reflects his own timeline, his own emotions, and his own truth.
With more music in the works and shows on the horizon, BRADEN ALL CAPS is just getting started, and he’s bringing his listeners along for every beat of the ride. Stay tuned for new music releasing this year, as well as merchandise and new show dates.
